Teacher, Tutor

"My philosophy is that all children entering our schools bring with them a capacity to learn. While the child may be diverse in culture, values, abilities, or experiences, each child shares the need for acceptance. As educators, we should provide a safe and caring environment where each child is treated as a unique individual who deserves respect for his/her ability."

"Charlette has a wonderful relationship with people of all ages. Her ability to

connect with her ESOL students and her talent at teaching simple concepts,

as well as more advanced topics, are both truly remarkable."

Frank Campos, Director, Censa Orlando Institute

"She is quite creative and appears to be cheerful with the children she works with."

Rose Marie Dina, Student teacher Director

"Her professional qualifications as a teacher speak for themselves."

David Odahowski, President, Edyth Bush-Charitable Foundation

"She plans well and includes variations in plans to accommodate all learning styles."

Charlene Sparks, Catalina Lead Teacher

"Charlette has cheerfully given of her time, and other volunteer docents who have worked with her (they are mostly older people) have remarked upon her enthusiasm and genuine interest in the history of Winter Park."

Marianne McClain Popkins, Executive Director, Winter Park Historical Association

"Although it was a difficult group of students, Charlette demonstrated responsibility and guidance in planning and teaching daily lessons."

Sister Angelica Zajkowski, Principal, Transfiguration Academy

"Charlette fulfilled the duties of this position with the utmost responsibility and dependability."

Gabriele Pluhar, Manager's Office, Detroit Athletic Club

"Miss Charlette was my son's teacher over the summer period of 2013. She was extremely nice, polite and very trust worthy person. She truly took pride in her work by going out of her way to bring books and materials to enable her to reach her goal. I have never met a more dedicated young teacher as Miss Charlette. My son and my daughter loved her. and fought over who studied first with her. Please give her a chance to prove herself to you. It will be very hard to find a lady with similar qualities as Miss Charlette."

Hani A., summer parent (U.A.E. Pilot) from U.A.E.

*This daily summer experience was the most enjoyable tutoring project. Hani's family home was a cultural experience in itself. They were a Muslim family from the U.A.E. His family presented me with an assortment of pastries and hot tea, during the five hour daily tutoring sessions - plus, other Arabic foods. I did teach his sixth grade boy and second grade girl from their school books. Also, once in a while, I taught their Kindergarten son the basic alphabet and number skills.

"Charlette was great with my granddaughter. At the time of tutoring, my granddaughter was in the fifth grade and very upset about not passing the fifth grade because she couldn't grasp her math studies. Charlette also studied with my granddaughter on other subjects. My granddaughter always had a difficult time in her studies because of her ADHD. Charlette had the patience when working with my granddaughter. When Charlette finished with my granddaughter, she finished from her normal "D-" grade to a "C+". We all agreed Charlette fully did her job in my granddaughter's success. Thanks to her, my granddaughter went to the sixth grade."

Linda V., school year grandparent (house cleaner)

*Since Linda's granddaughter had ADHD, I had to constantly design different ideas to keep her focused. I worked with her on every core subject and her classwork. We were together for six hours a week. I had to structure everything in parts and pieces for her. Linda and her husband were thrilled that she passed her courses. I saw the before and after results in her report card.

"I hired Charlotte to tutor my daughter in Math before her FCAT exams and she was wonderful. My daughter really seemed to connect and learn well with her...and needless to say she ended up doing just great on her FCAT that year."

Melissa J., FCAT term mother (business manager)

*I worked with Melissa's daughter for about six weeks before the FCAT. The focus was only Math. We worked at a set location in the local book store. Every school day we were t together for two hours of intensive math review. We used her school materials and my designated books and materials. Eventually, when the results of the test finished, Melissa emailed me about her daughter passing the Math portion of her exam, of course she passed all parts of the exam.

Heidi Canterbury, FCAT term parent (home business)

*I tutored Noah for twelve weeks. When we started working together, his writing grades were considered a "U" or unsatisfactory. I assisted him in formulating ideas for creating stories." After the twelve weeks were finished, his mother phoned me with excellent news; "Noah had passed the FCAT! "My son Noah improved dramatically in 12 weeks"
